What Honda ProFirst means

To earn ProFirst certification, a shop has to hold I-CAR Gold Class training, own the equipment Honda specifies (including for high-strength steel and structural adhesives), have a documented quality process, and pass an on-site inspection. Honda audits the program regularly, so the certification reflects the shop's current standards.

Why it matters for Honda owners

• Advanced Compatibility Engineering body structure. Honda's ACE structure uses specific grades of high-strength steel in specific places. Repairing them with the wrong method, or with generic parts, changes how the car protects you in a crash.
• Honda Sensing. The cameras and radar behind Honda Sensing must be recalibrated after many repairs. We do this to Honda's procedure (ADAS calibration).
• Genuine Honda parts. We can source genuine Honda parts and will show you the difference when your policy allows alternatives.
• Repair documentation. Every structural repair is done to Honda's published procedure and documented for you and your insurer.
